James Edward Oelsner passed away suddenly on Friday, March 27, 2015, at his Fresno home. "Jimmy" was born September 23, 1964, in Yerington, NV. He grew up in Reno, NV and attended Pleasant Valley Elementary School, Pine Middle School and Wooster High School

Jim was actively involved in his family's business, Cresco Restaurant Supply, and managed locations, in Fresno, Sacramento, San Francisco, and Las Vegas, NV. He made many friends in all of these areas before settling down in Fresno the past 15 years of his life.

He will always be remembered for his loving kindness, charity, good will and humility. The best example of this was when he unselfishly, came to the aid of a Fresno motorcycle policeman that had been in a terrible accident. After paramedics arrived, Jim left the scene remaining anonymous. Relatives and friends of the officer tracked Jimmy down and he was recognized by the City of Fresno in a ceremony and credited with saving the officer's live.

He was much loved and survived by his wife Lynn; daughter Kaitlyn; son Jacob; his parents, Paul and Carol Oelsner of Reno, NV; brothers, Arthur and Donald; and sisters, Julie Kvarme, Betty Grubb, and Jennifer Waniewski. This list is so very brief compared to the list of friends he leaves behind, in particular, Dr. Elizabeth Woods; and many nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at Beth Israel Cemetery on Monday, April 6, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. A Memorial celebrating his life will be held in June in Reno, NV.
