Martha Elizabeth Bombini

Martha, age 91, passed away in Fresno, CA, on Sunday August 6, 2017. She was born in New York City on May 26, 1926. Martha was the daughter of Antoinette Saccente.

Martha moved from New York City to Fresno with her mother at the age of 16. She attended Edison High School where she met the love of her life, Maurice J Bombini.

In 1946 Martha and Maurice were married. They have two sons, Marty Jr. and Mark. Martha and Maurice along with their sons worked side by side...

Martha, age 91, passed away in Fresno, CA, on Sunday August 6, 2017. She was born in New York City on May 26, 1926. Martha was the daughter of Antoinette Saccente.

Martha moved from New York City to Fresno with her mother at the age of 16. She attended Edison High School where she met the love of her life, Maurice J Bombini.

In 1946 Martha and Maurice were married. They have two sons, Marty Jr. and Mark. Martha and Maurice along with their sons worked side by side and owned MJB Plumbing.

Martha was passionate about many things. She devoted much of her time to the PTA, P.H.C.C., and the Woman's Teahouse Group. She and Maurice also enjoyed traveling the world on tours and cruises.

Martha was proceeded in death by her mother, Antoinette Saccente DiPinto; her husband and love of her life for 69 years, Maurice J Bombini; daughter in-law, Jan Ghimenti Bombini; sister, Lucy Farretta; and brother, Leo DiPinto.

She is survived by her sons, Marty Jr. and Mark and his wife Rhonda; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren as well as her sister in law Josephine Morini.

A viewing will be held at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Wednesday August 16th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at St. Peter's Cemetery on Thursday August 17, 2017 at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Marjaree Mason Center 1600 M St, Fresno, CA 93721.

The family would like to thank the staff of Cottonwood Court for all their love and care that they have shown to Martha over the past year.
