Richard Charles Rose Jr.

Rick was born in Roswell, New Mexico on April 14, 1955 and passed away after a short battle with cancer. He left us on Saturday, November 19, 2016 in Fresno, CA. He was 61 years old.

His parents were Richard C. Rose Sr. and Peggy Woods. He was raised in Sanger, CA and resided in Fresno, CA all his life. Rick attended McLane High School. He graduated in 1974. He attended Fresno City College and graduated with an Associate's Degree in 1985. Rick enlisted in the United States...

Rick was born in Roswell, New Mexico on April 14, 1955 and passed away after a short battle with cancer. He left us on Saturday, November 19, 2016 in Fresno, CA. He was 61 years old.

His parents were Richard C. Rose Sr. and Peggy Woods. He was raised in Sanger, CA and resided in Fresno, CA all his life. Rick attended McLane High School. He graduated in 1974. He attended Fresno City College and graduated with an Associate's Degree in 1985. Rick enlisted in the United States Navy in 1977 and 1980. He was stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii with a rank of LIS A (Lithographer Striker Seaman Apprentice). Seaman Apprentice Rose was conscientious in performing all his assigned duties. He was highly motivated and very ambitious. Seaman Apprentice Rose's appearance reflected great pride in himself and the Navy.

Rick worked as the Graphic Communications Manager for the County of Fresno. He retired on October 23, 2015 after 29 years. Rick enjoyed spending time outside by the pool with his kitties. He was an avid jogger and worked out at the gym regularly. He also enjoyed driving his corvette to Cambria with Patti and walking on Moonstone Drive. He married Patti Guevara Rose of Fresno CA on March 25, 2005.

He was preceded in death by Mr. Boo, his beloved cat and Kiley, the Golden Retriever, his jogging partner.

Rick is survived by his loving wife Patti and her son Donovan; his two beloved kitties, Lexi and Kinsey; his mother, Peggy Woods; his brother, David Rose and wife Bonnie; nieces, Elizabeth and Jessica; sister Raelene Fisher.

A Memorial Service will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home (1525 E. Saginaw Fresno, CA.) on Monday, December 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m
